Remembrance Day

A day to remember
to repay our debt
A day to remember
in-case we forget

They fought for our country
some of them died.
They fought for our freedom
that was the prize

We owe them so much
for all that they done
They took their life in their hands
we gave them the gun

Handsome young men
we send out to war
to preserve our freedom
that’s what’s its for

The men that survive
they come back broken
The evils they witnessed
not a word of it spoken

They fought for our freedom
this is what they believed
An illusion of freedom
is what we received

Thousand of heroes
lay in one massive grave
We must always remember
all of them brave

On November the 11th
we all wear a poppy
and take a minute to remember
our lost not forgotten

A day to remember
to repay our debt
A day to remember
in-case we forget
