Halloween

Halloween

Halloween

Lurking in the shadows
In the blackness of the night
Are all the ghouls and ghosts
On this here hallows night.

Pumpkins at the doorsteps
with faces carved in them
Inside there is a candle
that shines a little flame.

Monkey nuts in bags
with a surprise that will be found
Split them down the middle
A witches head…..how profound.

Kids all dressed in costumes
and running through the streets
From princesses to devils
it really is quite sweet

Dunking for apples
and playing silly games
Dancing and telling jokes
to get treats….. well that’s their aim

Little do they know
that in the darkness hides
all the ghouls and ghosts
almost standing by their side

On this here hallows night
the one night of the year
They steal the children souls
and instills in them some fear

It really just a myth
so please don’t be afraid
I’m sure they are just stories
That by others have been made.
